Meet Josh Edwards
Josh grew up in Kingston, Ontario, where he attended Kingston Collegiate & Vocational Institute and competed with the KCVI Blues volleyball program. He also played in the OVA with the Kingston Pegasus club (now Kingston Rock) before moving on to the University of Windsor. During his time with the Lancers, Josh was a two‑time OUA All‑Star and led USports in hitting percentage in 2009–10.
After several years immersed in organic gardening, wild food and medicine foraging, wildcrafting, personal training, and coaching the KCVI senior boys volleyball team, Josh returned to the University of Windsor to complete his varsity career. He then earned carded‑athlete status with Volleyball Canada’s Full‑Time Training Centre and National Excellence Program, gaining experience at the highest levels of Canadian volleyball. His journey also included a stint playing professionally in Holland.
Upon returning to Canada, Josh contributed to the Kingston Rock Volleyball Club as a strength and conditioning coach and supported the RMC Paladins as both assistant coach and S&C coach.
Josh is now channeling his passion, experience, and holistic approach into expanding volleyball opportunities across Haliburton, Minden, and the surrounding region as part of the growing Unity Volleyball organization.
