Registration & Payments
How do I know which program is right for my child?
Unity offers programs for all ages and skill levels. Visit our Player Development Pathway for
guidance based on experience and goals.
How are age groups determined?
Age groups follow the Volleyball Canada system based on the age your child turns in 2025.
See full chart under “Program Eligibility” below.
Do I need experience to join?
●No experience required: Little Spikers, Academy , Academy House League
●Basic skills required: Select Training, Select House League
● 1+ year experience: Premier League
● Advanced skill & invite: REP/Elite Programs
Are tryouts required?
Tryouts are required for REP/Elite, Select T eams only . These begin with Open Gym ID Clinics
or ID Clinics and may lead to Invite-Only Sessions. All other programs are open enrollment.
Can I join mid-season or late?
Some programs allow late registration if space permits. Select T eams and REP require
full-season commitment. Contact us to confirm.
What are the payment options?
We accept credit card and e-transfer payments. Payment plans may be available for Select &
Travel teams T eams—ask us directly .
Program Eligibility & Pathway
What are the age group guidelines for 2025–2026?
Unity offers programs for all ages and experience levels:
- Little Spikers – Grades 1–4, beginners
- Academy & Academy House League – Grades 4–12, beginners to intermediate
- Select Training & Select House League – Grades 6–10, intermediate (with basic volleyball experience)
- Premier League – Grades 8–12, intermediate to advanced
REP/Elite Training & Open Gyms – Competitive athletes selected by tryouts or invitation
What is the Unity player development pathway?
Unity offers clear stages from beginner to advanced play:
Academy → Select Training → House League → Premier League → REP/Elite
What’s the next step after Open Gym ID Clinics?
Athletes may:
- Continue in additional Open Gym sessions
- Be invited to a Closed Practice Session
- Be referred to Select or Academy programs for more development
Program Logistics
What does a typical training week look like?
- Evening programs: 1–2 sessions/week (1.5–2 hrs)
- Camps: Full-day (9 AM–4 PM)
- Select Teams Summer League: 1 training + 1 gameplay/week
- Select Teams Season: 2 practices/week + competitions
- REP Travel Teams: 2–3 practices/week + competitions
What should my child bring to sessions or camp?
- Indoor athletic shoes
- Refillable water bottle
- Sportswear Packed lunch & snacks (for full-day programs)
- Unity training shirt (if provided)
Are training shirts or uniforms provided?
Yes.
- Training shirts: Camps and weekly programs
- Full uniforms: REP/Select Teams
Can parents stay and watch?
Yes, where space allows. Parents must stay in designated spectator areas and avoid entering the court or hallway spaces.
What if a session is cancelled?
You’ll be notified via email or text. We’ll provide a makeup session or a credit/refund when possible.
Summer Programs
What summer programs do you offer?
- Full-day Indoor Camps (Academy, Select, REP)
- Beach Camps: 2v2, 3v3, 4v4
- Evening Training: Academy, Select, and REP sessions
- Open Gym ID Clinics for REP evaluations
Do I need to register for multiple weeks?
No, all programs are week-based or session-based unless otherwise stated. Register for what fits your schedule
